The Incumbent is responsible for assisting Co-ordinator in co-ordinating and implementing domestic violence services for a Shelters in with the Office of the Prime Minister's mandate.

The listener will be required to respond sensitively and professionally to callers to the hot line in a manner which is non-judgmental, gender sensitive and calming, while eliciting factual information and exploring the concerns of the client. Working in a confidential setting, the incumbent will listen attentively to their clients and offer them the time, empathy and respect they need to express their own feelings, provide information and explore their concerns, thereby reducing their confusion and directing them to those agencies best suited to assist them to make changes in their lives if they decide to do so.
